Night Tide on South Beach — Tommy Friday

$450.00

Tommy Friday

A rite of passage in any coastal town is sitting and watching the ocean at midnight. Or 1am. Or 2am, depending on how long the wine lasts.

From South Beach, the nocturnal ocean initially appears dark and ominous, before revealing itself in countless points of reflected light. From Port Kembla, back towards the lighthouse and everything in between, the water sparkles as it rolls, recedes and folds back into itself.

It is a familiar view, transformed simply by the hour.

Original painting, acrylic & varnish, 2026
41 x 51 cm, framed
One of a kind
Currently hanging: Level 3, Suite 301
