Golf Course Clippings on South Beach Sand — Tommy Friday

$450.00

Tommy Friday

This work celebrates the winding entrance from Swan Street, through the golf course and towards the southern end of South Beach.

In summer, shoes, sandals and thongs inevitably turn up along the verge of the green, in a place that can feel strangely like nowhere in particular. On the right day, clippings of grass drift out from the course and settle onto the sand.

It’s a small collision of two very different landscapes, and one of those details that becomes familiar when you’ve spent enough time there

Original painting, acrylic & varnish, 2026
41 x 51 cm, framed
One of a kind
Currently hanging: Level 2, Suite 201
